Scientists warn of ‘zombie fires’ in the Arctic

Satellite has showed some observations of active fires that hint that ‘zombie’ fires might have reignited, according to mark pareington a senior scientist and wildfire expert at the European Union’s Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service. “We have seen satellite observations of active fires that hint that ‘zombie’ fires might have reignited,” said Mark Parrington, a senior scientist and wildfire expert at the European Union’s Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service.

The endangered zone haven’t yet been confirmed by ground measurements, which are particularly focused areas that burned last summer.
